1. How to cancel or change a booking

  • Send your request by email to contact@mytourmakers.com or on WhatsApp to +91 81301 10381, from the email address or mobile number used for the booking, with your booking ID (for example MTM-39203).
  • The date and time we receive your written request decides which cancellation charge applies. Phone calls must be followed by a written request.
  • We confirm your cancellation in writing and tell you the refund amount and expected timeline within 24 hours (working days).
  • Your GST invoice is updated to show the cancellation, and any MTM Points or MTM Wallet money you used on the booking is returned to your account.

2. Holiday packages

For holiday packages designed and sold by MyTourMakers, we start arranging your trip (hotels, transport, permits and local partners) as soon as you book. So a cancellation charge applies from the moment the package is booked. The charge is a share of the amount you have paid and depends on how many days before the package start date we receive your cancellation:

Cancellation receivedCancellation charge (we retain)Refund to you
More than 45 days before the start date50% of the amount paid50% of the amount paid
30 to 45 days before75% of the amount paid25% of the amount paid
15 to 29 days before80% of the amount paid20% of the amount paid
Less than 15 days before, or no-show100% of the amount paidNo refund

Example: you paid ₹40,000 for a package starting on 20 December. If we receive your cancellation on 10 November (40 days before), we retain 75% (₹30,000) and refund ₹10,000.

  • Days are counted from the date we receive your written cancellation to the package start date, not counting the start date itself.
  • Group departures, special-offer packages and festive or peak-date departures may have stricter terms. These are shown on your quotation before you pay and then apply in place of the table above.
  • If only some travellers cancel, the same charges apply to their share, and the remaining travellers may need to pay any change in per-person price (for example single-room supplements).
  • If you would rather not lose the money, ask us about changing your travel dates instead of cancelling (see Changes to a booking).

3. Flights, hotels and other single services

Flights, hotels, trains, buses (including Volvo coaches), cabs, cruises, events, tickets and other services booked on their own are cancelled under the cancellation policy of the airline, hotel or other supplier. We tell you that policy before you book, and it is shown on your quotation, voucher or invoice.

  • The refund is what the supplier refunds to us, less their cancellation charges.
  • For flights, airline rules decide refunds, including for no-shows. Government taxes and fees on unused tickets are refundable as per airline rules.
  • If we fail to share a supplier's cancellation policy with you before booking, we will not hold you to any stricter charge than the one we told you about.

4. Changes to a booking

  • Changes to dates, names, hotels or travellers depend on availability and supplier rules. Any supplier charges and fare or price differences are payable by you, and we will tell you the cost before making the change.
  • Name corrections may not be possible on some flight tickets; in that case the ticket may need to be cancelled and rebooked.
  • Reducing the length of a stay or removing services after confirmation is treated as a partial cancellation.

5. If we cancel or change your booking

  • If we cancel a confirmed booking for reasons within our control, you get a full refund of everything you paid us, or a replacement trip of similar or higher standard if you prefer.
  • If we must make a major change before departure (for example a different destination, a lower hotel category or a big change of dates), you may accept the change or cancel and receive a full refund of the amounts we can recover, with no cancellation charge from us.
  • Events beyond anyone's control (such as natural disasters, extreme weather, epidemics, war, civil unrest, strikes or government orders): we refund what our suppliers refund to us, help you rebook, and you may choose to keep the amount as MTM Cash for a future trip.

6. How refunds are paid

  • Refunds are paid to your original payment method (the card, UPI or bank account you paid from), usually within 7–14 working days after we receive the money back from suppliers. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
  • Money you paid by bank transfer is refunded to the same bank account. We may ask you to confirm the account details in writing.
  • MTM Points and MTM Wallet money used on a cancelled booking are returned to your MyTourMakers account, not paid in cash.
  • Payment gateway or bank charges that we could not recover may be deducted; we will tell you if this applies.
  • TCS collected on international packages and already deposited with the government appears in your tax statement (Form 26AS / AIS) and can be claimed in your income tax return. TCS not yet deposited is refunded with your refund.

7. Refund to your MTM Wallet (optional)

Instead of waiting for a bank refund, you can ask us to add your refund to MTM Cash in your MTM Wallet. This is always your choice:

  • The money is added as soon as your cancellation is processed and you are emailed when it is.
  • MTM Cash can pay up to 100% of any MyTourMakers booking and is valid for 12 months. You apply it yourself in My Account → My Trips.
  • A refund added to your MTM Cash at your request is not also paid to your bank. Full MTM Wallet rules are in our Terms & Conditions.

8. Items that cannot be refunded

  • Embassy, consulate and visa centre fees, once an application has been submitted.
  • Travel insurance premiums, once the policy is issued.
  • Gift cards, vouchers and complimentary services.
  • MTM Club benefits already used (for example a lounge pass for which a voucher was issued) and MTM Bonus credits.
  • Unused services, missed services, no-shows and early departure, unless the supplier refunds us.

9. Late or missing refunds

If you have not received a refund within the timeline we confirmed: first check your bank or card statement again, then contact your bank (refunds sometimes take a few days to appear). If you still cannot see it, contact us with your booking ID and we will share the refund reference (for example the bank or gateway reference number) within 2 working days.

10. Contact and complaints

For cancellations, refunds or complaints, contact us below. Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month, as described in our Terms & Conditions. You may also approach the National Consumer Helpline (1915 or consumerhelpline.gov.in).
